February 2012: Reunited

One Russian proverb says, it is quiet before a great storm. This is an accurate description of the last several months for Dima and me. As you know we have been waiting for quite a while for Maria's visa to come through. The last month she got the visa and came to the United States. There were a few complications in the whole process but God is faithful and led us through them all. Now we enjoy being in the same city and same time zone for the first time in the last seven months.
Before leaving Ukraine, Maria finished discipling a lady from church. When she got to the States we knew we had very little time to get ready for our wedding day. Fortunately, she transitioned incredibly fast, and we managed to take care of some very important things like a wedding dress in the first couple day after her arrival. Dima traveled to Charlotte to visit ministry partners.
We look forward to establishing our new family! Next month we are going to Pensylvania, right after our honeymoon, so that Maria can attend the candidate school at ABWE. We will take several training courses before we deploy, and all the paperwork we need to do for Maria here in the States. We are ready for all this "storm" of events and tasks as we speed toward our deployment date, expected within a year after our marriage.
Dima's book "Divine Energy in Orthodox Liturgy" was published and is now available for sale at https://www.createspace.com/3751417 . It will be on Amazon within a week, and a Kindle edition is coming out in March.
Thank you so much for all your prayers and support! We will be married next week!
